Edward Lear is a highly accomplished trial attorney with over three decades of litigation experience. He has tried more than 300 cases and secured numerous high-value settlements for his clients. A cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College, he earned his law degree from UCLA School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Honors Program.
He began his legal career as a litigation associate at Thelen, Marrin, Johnson & Bridges before serving as a State Bar prosecutor in Los Angeles, where he never lost a trial. In 1994, he co-founded Gerry & Lear LLP, and later, in 2002, he established Century Law Group LLP, a boutique litigation firm known for its aggressive representation and outstanding results.
Mr. Lear has represented clients in high-profile cases, including victims of the Maui and Eaton fires, securing significant compensation for property loss and emotional distress. A member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) since 2014, he has been recognized by Super Lawyers for nine consecutive years (2017–2025) for his excellence in litigation.
