As of August 19, 2024, USCIS is accepting applications under the ‘Keeping Families Together’ Program through the filing of form I-131F.
IMPORTANT: You cannot apply by mail. You must apply online, and there is no option to waive the fee of $580 at this time.
To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must have been continuously present in the U.S. since at least June 17, 2014
- Must be present in the U.S. without legal permission/entry or parole
- Must be legally married to a U.S. Citizen on or before June 17, 2024
- Have no disqualifying criminal history
- Must not be a threat to public safety, national security, or border security; and
- Must submit biometrics and undergo required background checks and national security and public safety vetting
To qualify as a noncitizen stepchild (under 21 years old):
- Must have been under the age of 21 and unmarried on June 17, 2024;
- Must have been continuously present in the U.S. since at least June 17, 2014
- Must be present in the U.S. without legal permission/entry or parole
- Have no disqualifying criminal history
- Must not be a threat to public safety, national security, or border security; and
- Must submit biometrics and undergo required background checks and national security and public safety vetting
