Keeping Families Together Program (Biden Parole-In-Place)

As of August 19, 2024, USCIS is accepting applications under the ‘Keeping Families Together’ Program through the filing of form I-131F.

IMPORTANT: You cannot apply by mail. You must apply online, and there is no option to waive the fee of $580 at this time.

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must have been continuously present in the U.S. since at least June 17, 2014
  2. Must be present in the U.S. without legal permission/entry or parole
  3. Must be legally married to a U.S. Citizen on or before June 17, 2024
  4. Have no disqualifying criminal history
  5. Must not be a threat to public safety, national security, or border security; and
  6. Must submit biometrics and undergo required background checks and national security and public safety vetting

To qualify as a noncitizen stepchild (under 21 years old):

  1. Must have been under the age of 21 and unmarried on June 17, 2024;
  2. Must have been continuously present in the U.S. since at least June 17, 2014
  3. Must be present in the U.S. without legal permission/entry or parole
  4. Have no disqualifying criminal history
  5. Must not be a threat to public safety, national security, or border security; and
  6. Must submit biometrics and undergo required background checks and national security and public safety vetting
